To be honest this one was a sentimental purchase, my dad was a brick layer and very precious and particular about his spirit levels, swearing his years old wooden one was much better than the new fangled metal ones. Sadly my dad is no longer with us or I would definitely have bought this as a novelty gift for him and I know he would have tried it out too!! So instead I just couldn't resist it and its now a novelty gift for my daughter who it will remind of her grandad and make her smile! No doubt she'll add it to her keyring or use it attached to her handbag! It looks well made, nice, quite sturdy. It reminded me of the old fashioned good quality christmas cracker gifts from years ago!

It’s the kind of gift you could see dropping out of a Christmas cracker – only better quality. Joking aside, my smallest spirit level is around eight inches (20 cm) long. But just occasionally you need one a lot smaller. This would be ideal, at only 4 cm long. Oh, yes it does actually work, and works well. My only concern is the price. When I ordered it, the price was a tad shy of a fiver. It has dropped in price, but I still feel it might need to come down a little further. So, not good value for money at the moment. Four stars, due to the price.

When I saw this I knew I had to get it for him. Its never going to do the big stuff but it was so worth it for the grin on his face.
